The shooting period of Ukrainian-Russian-Germanic film about the Chornobyl disaster have started in Ukraine in June 4th. The film, titled In Saturday is directed by famous Russian screenwriter Alexander Mindadze.

Ukrainian Film “You, My Joy” In a Competitive Program Of Cannes Film Festival


Sergiy Loznitsa’s feature You, My Joy was selected to the main competition program of the festival. It is the second time when Ukrainian film participates in the official competition program of the Cannes festival in its history. The first one was a short documentary The Travelers, by Igor Strembitsky which in 2005 won the Cannes “small” “Golden Palm”.
